recently, when questioned about whether my work is 'Art' I was not able to produce a coherent answer, as a result in this essay I am attempting to clarify my feelings about the meaning (if any) of the word Art; and as the nature of the enquiry within my work leans towards topics more traditionally associated with 'science' I am also trying to quantify the relationship of the one with the other.

Still in its early stages, selves-portrait is a continuation of the investigation of the relationship between health professionals and patients which began in 2007 with the project Temporary Orifices - who am we?

selves-portrait is a collaborative project with Prof. Immy Holloway of the Centre for Qualitative Research at The School of Health and Social Care at the University of Bournemouth.

We intend to create a dedicated website for the project where you will be able to follow the creation and development of its central themes - the website launches in December 2010

Work created for the project will be exhibited at the Atrium Gallery at the University of Bournemouth from November 10th to December 23rd 2011.
